Campsite

Mid Wales Camping is located on an acre of flat land within our working small holding and open all year round, weather permitting. There are five large grass pitches with electric hook-up and a paddock for those who want to camp ‘off grid’. There is drinking water, chemical disposal point, a flushing toilet, electric shower and washing up facilities for all to use.

This secluded, hideaway site is far enough away from all main roads so as not to be disturbed by traffic noise and ideal for getting away from it all and relaxing with just the sound of bird song. A perfect haven for walkers with a wealth of public footpaths and bridleways to explore in the area, and Glyndwrs Way National Trail almost on the doorstep.

The campsite is supplied with fire pits and picnic benches and during busy periods we supply fresh free range eggs. Kindling for the fire pits can be purchased on site for £5 per trug.

Camping with us

Well behaved dogs are welcome and can be taken to an area where they can run off lead by arrangement.

There is no wi-fi available on the campsite itself and this makes for a truly relaxing experience however, there is access to wi-fi available in the area near the camping facilities for those who need to catch up with family or work responsibilities.

There is a pub within a 20 minute walking distance and local shops, cafes and restaurants within a 5 minute drive in the local town of Rhayader.

Arrival on site is any time after 12pm and pitches need to be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. During quieter times we can be flexible with departure times so please ask if you need a later departure.
